Course Description: It’s the third part of Metaphysics. It’s a philosophical reflection on the existence of God: It asks the question ‘Is there God?’ and tries to prove the existence of God, focussing mainly on the five proofs put forward by St. Thomas Aquinas.
Course Contents: Introduction – Philosophical and Religious Approaches, The Existence of God is a Philosophical Problem, The Five Proofs for the Existence of God, The Two Ways of Hermeneutical Phenomenology – The Quest for Meaning and The Experience of Contingence, The Nature and the Attributes of God, God’s Knowledge, The Divine Will, and The Problem of Evil – Existence of Evil and Kinds of Evil.
